With a multidisciplinary background in both the sciences and the arts, including environmental science and management, sustainability, community engagement, education and creative writing, Sheryn currently leads the Adelaide National Park City initiative for Green Adelaide. Sheryn has long worked in the field of bringing people and nature together and has previously led the state’s Green Infrastructure and Sustainable Landscapes programs, the Inspiring South Australia science engagement program, and habitat restoration projects with Greening Australia. Sheryn’s PhD in Ecological Literacy explored some of the complex relationships people have with the natural world along with ways to cultivate an informed population with the capacity to make effective and sustainable environmental decisions.
