Fill your day, 48 hours or longer: there is always something to do in Utrecht. By bike, on foot or via the ancient canals. Utrecht is there for young and old with beautiful canals and parks, cozy restaurants, interesting museums and special historic buildings. The city center is bustling with restaurants, but at the same time also houses the Miffy Museum and the Central Museum. The Railway Museum should also not be missing from such a list: from the station a special train goes directly to the wonderful world of old platforms, steam locomotives and everything around it. And, the real visitor to Utrecht must of course see the Cathedral. A special way to discover all the beauty of Utrecht is via a canoe trip through the canals. A wonderful, healthy way to be amazed by the historic canal houses, vaulted cellars and cozy, atmospheric catering establishments. You do have to bend down occasionally at a bridge, but that shouldn’t be a problem, of course.
Utrecht has a compact historic center which is easy to navigate by bike or on foot. Bikes can be rented at various places. For those travelling by car from outside the city, you can avail of one of the P+R locations located close to the highways around the city. You can also park your car in the city center in one of the seven Interparking car parks.
