Nico Wissing
Nico Wissing (1961) is a renowned Dutch garden and landscape designer whose passion for nature began at an early age. After completing his studies in horticulture in Velp, followed by the RMTuS in Nijmegen and a minor in Landscape & Nature Design, he founded his own design and landscaping company in 1983. The company grew to 45 employees and undertook high-quality projects both domestically and internationally. In 2010, this led to the creation of the landscape design firm Studio Nico Wissing in Megchelen and the landscaping company GreenM2 in Doetinchem. In the same year, he also founded NL Greenlabel, an organization aimed at sustainable development of areas, boasting a network of over 200 partners. Wissing, a fervent advocate for green cities and sustainable living environments, is invited worldwide for lectures and publications. His work was recognized in 2018 when he was appointed a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau, honoring his commitment to nature-inclusive living and working.
