The research of professor dr.ir. Floris Cornelis Boogaard focuses on climate adaptation and optimising the long-term efficiency of Urban Nature-Based solutions. In April 2013, Floris took up a professorship in Spatial Transformations at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen. He has over 25 years of experience in consultancy, research and management and is now working in the field of climate adaptation at Deltares and as an affiliated researcher at the Global Center on Adaptation. Floris is the founder of climate action tools such as ClimateScan and ClimateCafe to make cities more resilient to climate change.
