Roderik is one of those people who has managed to turn his passion into his job. After graduating from Leiden University (Law), he founded the Netherlands Debate Institute in 1998. Since then, he has acted as chairman, debate leader or moderator and coaches professionals in the field of persuasiveness. He also provides commentary on radio and television about political debates and writes opinion pieces, articles and books. And he provides interactive lectures. All around the theme of rhetoric. Since June 2022, Roderik has been a member of the Hilversum municipal council on behalf of D66. That year he was immediately elected ‘Politician of the Year’ in Hilversum.
