Marco te Brömmelstroet (1980) is professor of Urban Mobility Futures at the University of Amsterdam and is known as the ‘cycling professor’. He is also the founder of The Lab of Thought and chairman of the Urban Cycling Institute. The Institute researches the relationship between cycling, society and cities and is committed to disseminating Dutch knowledge on cycling and cycling infrastructure internationally. The international bestseller Movement: how to take back our streets and transform our lives’ (The Right of the Fastest), which he co-wrote with Thalia Verkade, received the Brussels Prize for the best journalistic book of the year in 2021.
